Backup Exec 2014
Just got BackUp Exec 2014 installed a few days ago and I Love It!!!! This was my preferred backup solution for several years but I lost my exposure and use of the application since my jobs in recent years were purely focused on Exchange. I'm going to date myself and say I was using this product before Symantec got a hold of it, that was back in the day when it was owned by a company named "Veritas". How many of you remember that name :-). The application is intuition and easy to use especially if you've used previous versions. I'll cover more as I use the product more. BTW it offers a 60 Day Trial period.

PowerShell Script to Generate Email In Test Lab
Below is a post from MVP Paul Cunningham to generate email within your test lab. This script does work for an Exchange 2013 Lab, but there are a few caveats to be mindful of.
- Ensure that your certificates are working on with your environment.
- Ensure that particular attention is given to the hard coding of the Exchange Web Services( EWS) URL
Below is a screen shot of the script if it's working correctly.

Hyper-V Windows 2012 - How to free up disk space after Snapshot have been deleted and VM(s) have been shut down.
To reclaim the disk space that is being consumed by snapshots that were taken, after deleting the snapshot(s) in the Hyper-V Manager console you typically have to shut down the VM(s) and let the merge process complete but if after doing this the disk space hasn't been released you must "restart the Hyper-V Virtual Machine Management service", which will release the space that was being used by the snapshots.
